FAQs & Contact

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. Mediation, coaching, and consultations can be conducted virtually, which can be helpful for scheduling, distance, or comfort.

How much does mediation or conflict coaching typically cost?

Mediation is often significantly less expensive than litigation, which can involve prolonged timelines, court appearances, and legal fees. Participants generally split mediation fees equally between parties. Mediation also offers greater control, privacy, and flexibility in reaching solutions that work for everyone involved.

Fees are based on hourly rates, and the total cost depends on the number of sessions required. Some matters are resolved in a small number of sessions, while others take longer depending on complexity, communication patterns, and the issues involved.

I work efficiently and structure sessions to make the best use of everyone’s time.

My rates are $200/hour for conflict coaching/pre-mediation one-on-one sessions, and $250/hour during mediation sessions. Costs are typically shared during mediation sessions.

Do both parties pay for mediation?

In most cases, mediation fees are shared equally between parties, unless the parties agree to an alternate arrangement (in advance).

How many sessions are typically required?

Every situation is different. Some matters are resolved in one or two sessions, while others may require additional time depending on complexity, communication patterns, and the issues involved. Preparation is key to moving swiftly through the process, and clients can be given structured prep work to complete independently before the mediation to help reduce costs.

Is mediation confidential?

Yes. Unlike legal proceedings in court, mediation and coaching sessions are confidential, subject to limited legal exceptions related to safety or mandatory reporting. Anything said in pre-mediation sessions will remain confidential unless you choose to disclose it.

Who makes the final decisions about the dispute?

The parties involved are the final decision makers. Mediators are not there to provide solutions or give a ruling. We are there to allow for an open, honest, and productive conversation which leads to  mutually agreeable solutions.

What if the other person won't participate?

Conflict coaching may still be a helpful option. Coaching focuses on supporting you individually and can help clarify options and next steps.
