I am a mediator, educator, and award-winning author with several years of experience helping people navigate conflict with clarity, respect, and confidence. My background blends behavioural science, dispute resolution, teaching, course development, and communication — all of which shape how I support individuals and organizations in having the conversations that matter.
Early in my career, I led the Alternate Dispute Resolution program for the RCMP “K” Division in Alberta. In this role, I mediated workplace conflicts, investigated sensitive allegations, coached and trained more than thirty mediators, and helped shape national policies for interest-based conflict resolution. This work required high-level facilitation skills, exceptional discretion, and a deep appreciation for human complexity.
Alongside my mediation work, I have served as a coach for a master’s level negotiation and communication course at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Business, coached students and professionals in conflict-management program, and served as a mediator in Alberta’s Small Claims Court pilot project as well as in a Parent-Teen Mediation Program.

In 2013, I transitioned to full-time writing. Since then, I’ve authored more than thirty-five published novels, written for major international publishers including HarperCollins and Hachette UK, and built a global readership. Storytelling has strengthened my ability to listen deeply, understand diverse perspectives, and guide people toward solutions that honour both their needs and their humanity.
Today, I bring together my mediation expertise, teaching background, communication skills, and professional writing experience to help individuals and teams approach conflict effectively, yielding creative, satisfactory results. Whether I’m facilitating a difficult conversation, coaching someone through a challenging situation, or helping a workplace improve its culture, my goal is always the same:
To create space for understanding and resolution — with respect at the center..
